Wireless networks are becoming more widely used due to their portability and reduced costs in infrastructure wiring. These networks pose the potential for a security break into the network where today so many attack tools are readily available to anyone who seeks them.
This talk will contain active demonstrations of real hacking into a wireless network. A demonstration of how an unsecured wireless network is akin to writing on postcards which can be seen and read by all will be demonstrated, showing that just basic security is not good enough.
This talk will be presented to you by Richard Binns, Martin Campbell-Wonders and Graham Sexton who are all lecturers in this discipline at Northumbria University
